Budget Minister Advocates for Reforms Supporting Vulnerable Nigerians

On Tuesday, during the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Nigeria Impact Showcase in Abuja, Senator Bagudu, the Budget Minister, called for collective action to address Nigeria's development challenges. He recognized the essential role of organizations like CRS in complementing government efforts to reach underserved communities.

Senator Bagudu commended CRS for its humanitarian work and noted that such events allow for assessing progress and identifying areas for improvement. He stated that the Federal Government's reforms, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are crucial for repositioning the economy and enhancing productivity.

The minister highlighted that these reforms impact various societal segments differently, prompting targeted interventions for low-income households, small businesses, traders, and farmers. He pointed out that global disruptions, including trade tensions and rising energy costs, have negatively affected multiple sectors, making partnerships with humanitarian organizations vital.
