Buni Appoints Mahmud as New Emir of Ngazargamu

On Tuesday, Governor Buni appointed Mahmud as the new Emir of Ngazargamu, succeeding the late Emir Alhaji Tijjani Ibn Saleh Geidam. The announcement was made through a statement issued by the Yobe State Government.

Mahmud, who has served on the Yobe State House of Assembly and the State Executive Council at different times from 2007 to 2026, has significant experience in public service. Governor Buni congratulated the new monarch and urged him to use his wealth of experience to promote unity, peace, and economic development in the region.

The governor called on the residents of Yobe State to support the new Emir in his responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of cooperation for the benefit of the people. He prayed for wisdom, good health, and a prosperous reign for the new Emir.
