Scott Parker Leaves Burnley After Premier League Relegation

Scott Parker has departed from his role as head coach of Burnley Football Club by mutual consent after the club's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed on April 22, following a 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City. Parker, who previously managed Fulham and Bournemouth, had signed a three-year contract in July 2024 to succeed Vincent Kompany.

During his tenure, he led Burnley to promotion last season but struggled this campaign, achieving only four league wins and conceding 68 goals in 34 matches. The club's statement expressed gratitude for Parker's professionalism and dedication.

Parker, 45, stated on the club's website that it was an immense privilege to lead Burnley and that he felt it was the right time to part ways. Mike Jackson will take charge of the remaining four Premier League fixtures as the club begins the process of appointing a new permanent head coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.
