Pedestrian Killed by Bus in Ogun State Accident

On Sunday at 4:45 PM, a fatal accident occurred in Ogun State when a pedestrian was knocked down by a Toyota Coaster bus along the Imowo-Ibadan Road, heading towards Ijebu Ode. The Ogun State Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency, represented by spokesperson Babatunde Akinbiyi, reported that the incident led to serious traffic congestion due to obstruction.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that the pedestrian allegedly failed to check for oncoming traffic before attempting to cross the road. The agency noted that traffic was being managed by police officers from the Obalende Division, who were deployed to the scene to assist with traffic control and rescue operations.

Following the accident, the presumed dead body was transported to the general hospital mortuary in Ijebu Ode. The agency confirmed that normal vehicular movement was restored after the evacuation of the bus and that no injuries were reported aside from the pedestrian's death.
