The APC has criticized the ADC for claiming manipulation in the Akwa Ibom by-election, calling it a desperate attempt to deflect attention from the poor showing of the ADC in the poll. The official results released on Sunday showed that the APC secured 12 constituencies, APGA two, PDP two, and NNPP two.

The APC Director General of Media Network stated that the outcome of the poll reflected the strength and popularity of the ruling party, attributing their success to the quality leadership provided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The APC chieftain rejected the ADC's allegations of manipulation by INEC, calling them baseless and insisting that the outcome was a clear sign of what to expect in the 2027 presidential election.
