Bye-Election: Police Arrest 333 Suspects In Kano State

The Kano State Police Command arrested 333 suspects with dangerous weapons in connection with the recent bye-elections in Ghari, Bagwai, and Shanono Local Government Areas. State Commissioner of Police, Dr.

Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, revealed this during a briefing, highlighting the challenging circumstances faced during the election due to attempts by unscrupulous individuals to disrupt the process. The suspects were apprehended for disrupting the electoral process, with weapons such as rifles, guns, sticks, swords, and knives recovered from them.

The suspects have been charged in the Magistrate Court with various offenses including criminal conspiracy, possession of offensive weapons, and disorderly conduct. The police are committed to ensuring justice is served and holding those who seek to undermine the democratic process accountable.
