Bye-Elections: “Don’t Vote for Labour Party,” Peter Obi Tells Supporters, Mentions Alternative

Former Vice Presidential candidate Peter Obi has urged his supporters not to vote for the Labour Party in the upcoming bye-elections. Instead, he mentioned the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as an alternative for the 2023 presidential election.

Obi, a member of a coalition, cited the recognition of the ADC candidate by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a reason for his decision. This comes amidst internal crisis within the Labour Party.

Obi's move follows his alliance with major opposition leaders, including former minister Rotimi Amaechi, to form the ADC. Meanwhile, former minister Solomon Dalung has also opened up about his plans for the 2027 election, revealing Obi's stance on the presidency and his vow to serve only one term if elected.
