Senegal to Host 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON, CAF Announces

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that Senegal will host the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). This decision was made following the approval of the CAF Executive Committee, reaffirming CAF's confidence in Senegal's capacity to organize a world-class event.

Senegal, a five-time winner of the CAF Beach Soccer AFCON, has demonstrated its commitment to the sport, having hosted the tournament in 2021. The upcoming 2026 edition will once again bring together eight of Africa's leading beach soccer nations, with the tournament serving as a qualifying event for the next FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup scheduled for 2027.

The CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations has been a significant championship since its launch in 2006, evolving from an annual to a biennial event, and it continues to play a crucial role in the development of beach soccer across the continent.
