CAF-WAFU B Workshop Enhances Women's Football in Abuja

The CAF-WAFU B Women’s Football Administration Workshop concluded in Abuja, Nigeria, focusing on the development of women's football across the region. Aisha Falod, a member of the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), highlighted the workshop's insights and its potential impact on women's football.

The event, organized by the West African Football Union (WAFU B) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF), introduced new strategies for developing the women's game. NFF Deputy General Secretary Emmanuel Ikpem expressed optimism about the participants returning to their countries equipped to drive meaningful progress.

NFF President Ibrahim Gusau and General Secretary Moham Sanusi were present, alongside WAFU B Executive Director Philipp Tchere, who commended the NFF for hosting the successful workshop. The sessions featured experienced facilitators, including former Nigerian international Precious Dede and CAF instructors Jule McGeever and Thuba Sibanda.

Key stakeholders from various football organizations also attended, emphasizing the collaborative effort to enhance women's football in Africa.
