Calabar to Host 2026 NWFL Championship in July

The 2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship is scheduled to be held in Calabar from Thursday, July 9, to Thursday, July 16, 2026. This championship will bring together teams from the nationwide division, competing for elite status in the tournament.

A total of 16 teams will participate, with two teams earning promotion to the top flight of women's football in Nigeria. Additionally, three of the lowest-ranked teams will face relegation from the NWFL nationwide division.
