Camara Focused on Monaco After Chelsea Transfer Fails

Lamine Camara, a 22-year-old midfielder for Monaco, has stated he is fully focused on the new Ligue 1 season following the collapse of his proposed £47.1 million transfer to Chelsea shortly before the transfer window closed. Camara had completed a medical examination as Chelsea made two bids for him, but the deal ultimately did not materialize.

He acknowledged the possibility of leaving Monaco but expressed that he has moved on from the disappointment. Ahead of Monaco's match against Strasbourg, Camara remarked, “It didn’t go through at the last minute, and that’s part of football.

I’ve turned the page and am focusing on the season.” Monaco had lowered their asking price during a tumultuous end to the transfer window, particularly as uncertainty surrounded Folarin Balogun’s potential move to Everton. Ultimately, both Camara and Balogun remained with Monaco.

Camara has started the season positively, contributing to the club's three consecutive Ligue 1 victories and is determined to play a significant role moving forward.
