Cameroonian, Nigerian Arrested for Drug Trafficking

The Adamawa State Police Command arrested two suspects for suspected drug trafficking on Wednesday. The suspects, identified as Muhammad Mustapha, 32, from Dorayi, Kano State, Nigeria, and Muhammad Sanusi, 48, from Garoua, Cameroon, were apprehended while allegedly transporting 197 sachets of tramadol across the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

The arrest occurred during a routine operation by the border patrol unit in Fufor. According to Suleiman Yahaya Nguroj, the command's public relations officer, the suspects were intercepted while en route to Cameroon, indicating an ongoing fight against drug trafficking and trans-border crime.

The Adamawa State Police Command has recorded significant breakthroughs in combating drug-related crimes, and the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morri, commended the border patrol unit for their vigilance and professionalism. The command reiterated its commitment to eradicating drug-related illicit activities in the state and will conduct thorough investigations into the case.
