Police Arrest Two Suspects with 197 Sachets of Tramadol

The Adamawa State Police Command announced the arrest of two suspects, Muhammad Mustapha, 32, from Dorayi, Kano State, and Muhammad Sanusi, 48, from Garoua, Cameroon, during a border operation. The police recovered 197 sachets of Tramadol from the suspects, who were apprehended as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and trans-border crime.

The operation was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Suleiman Nguroj, the Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police. Preliminary investigations revealed that the illicit substance was being transported to southeastern states with the intent to smuggle it into Cameroon.

The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morri, commended the personnel of the border patrol unit for their vigilance and professionalism. The command remains committed to eradicating drug-related crimes in the state, as evidenced by previous operations that led to significant drug seizures and arrests.
