NNPC Foundation Launches Childhood Cancer Campaign in Akwa Ibom - Focus on Awareness & Treatment

A campaign against childhood cancer has been launched in Akwa Ibom State by the NNPC Foundation in collaboration with the Akanimo Cancer Foundation. The initiative aims to raise awareness and improve access to treatment for childhood cancer, particularly in rural areas.

The Managing Director of NNPC Foundation, Emmanuella Arukwe, emphasized the importance of bridging the gap in cancer care to enhance survival rates. The program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

The NNPC Foundation has a track record of executing healthcare projects nationwide, including free cancer screenings and surgeries. The campaign seeks to address the low survival rates of childhood cancer in Nigeria and provide support to underserved communities.
