Canada Announces 2026 Visa and Citizenship Fees

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has published the official fee schedule for immigration and citizenship applications for the year 2026. The fees, listed in Canadian dollars, apply to all applicants regardless of their location.

For short-term entry, an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) costs CAD 7, while a visitor visa is CAD 100 per person, with a capped family fee of CAD 500 for families of five or more. Students applying for study permits pay CAD 150, and those needing to restore their status pay CAD 246.25 plus the study permit fee, totaling CAD 396.25.

Economic immigration applicants through the Express Entry system face a fee of CAD 1,590, which includes the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). Family sponsorship costs CAD 1,260 for spouses or partners and the same for parents or grandparents.

Canadian citizenship for adults costs CAD 653, while minors pay CAD 100. Permanent resident cards and travel documents each cost CAD 50.
