Loveworld Hosts International Symposium on Cancer Therapy

Loveworld Medical Centre is organizing the International Symposium on Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (ISRT) 2026, scheduled for August 28 and 29 in Lagos, Nigeria. This two-day event aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment across Africa by bringing together leading medical experts and emerging technologies.

The symposium will feature specialists in various fields, including nuclear medicine, oncology, and precision medicine, with contributions from experts in Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Germany, India, and the United States. A key focus will be on radiopharmaceutical therapy, which targets specific cancer cells using radioactive substances.

The symposium will include hands-on workshops and clinical case discussions to enhance practical knowledge among healthcare professionals. Capacity building will be a significant aspect, addressing the need for trained specialists and appropriate infrastructure to implement advanced cancer technologies sustainably in Africa.
