Car Wash Worker Kills Colleague Over Earnings Dispute
On Thursday, Sallau Liman Katagum allegedly killed his colleague Ibrahim Jadda at a car wash in the Kofar Gombe area of Bauchi metropolis. The dispute reportedly stemmed from disagreements over the sharing of earnings from their work.
Jadda had arrived early to prepare for the day when Sallau entered their cubicle and attacked him with a dagger, stabbing him in the chest. Sallau then locked the cubicle and fled the scene.
Concern arose when neither man was seen attending to customers, prompting others to check on them. Upon forcing the door open, they found Jadda critically injured in a pool of blood.
He was taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital for medical attention but was later pronounced dead. Sallau was traced and arrested in Maraban Liman Katagum.
The Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, confirmed the incident, stating it was linked to the ongoing dispute over earnings.
