DSS Recruits 27 Orphans, Praised for Compassionate Move

The Department of State Services (DSS), under the leadership of Director General Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, has recruited 27 qualified orphans from various backgrounds into its service. This initiative has been commended by care homes across Nigeria, highlighting its compassionate approach to providing life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged youth.

Rev. Sister Antonella Okek from the Holy Child Motherless Babies Home in Enugu State expressed gratitude for the gesture, emphasizing that it not only offers jobs but also fosters a sense of belonging for the orphans.

Margaret Garba from an orphanage in Adavi Local Government Area, Kogi State, noted that this decision sends a strong message that no Nigerian child should be left behind, regardless of their family situation. The initiative encourages government and private organizations to follow the DSS's example in creating similar opportunities for young Nigerians from orphanages nationwide, aiming to build an inclusive society that recognizes talent and potential across all sectors.
