Carter Efe, a Nigerian comedian and content creator, experienced the permanent removal of his TikTok account, which had over 5.6 million followers and 158 million likes, on September 9, 2026. The account was flagged for multiple policy violations.

Efe, whose full name is Oderhowho Joseph Efe, previously faced a similar situation in June 2025 when TikTok removed his account after he made critical comments about the artist Wizkid during a livestream. Following that incident, he rebuilt his presence on the platform, surpassing his previous follower count before the second ban occurred.

In response to the recent ban, Efe chose to remain largely silent but shared a music video by artist Naeomi titled "Look at Me" on his Instagram story, which many interpreted as a relaxed reaction to the controversy.
