Tinubu Celebrates Prof Ali Pate on 58th Birthday

On September 6, 2026, President Bola Tinubu extended birthday wishes to Prof Muhammad Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, on his 58th birthday. In a statement released by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Pate for his significant contributions to Nigeria’s health and social welfare sector.

He noted the transformation achieved under the Renewed Hope Agenda, highlighting the revitalization of over 3,100 primary healthcare centers and the reorganization of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF), which has enabled over 37 million Nigerians to access basic healthcare. Tinubu also commended the establishment of three oncology centers, the recruitment of over 20,000 health professionals, and the training of over 78,000 frontline health workers.

Additionally, he mentioned the HPV vaccination initiative for over 17.1 million adolescent girls and the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC), which has secured over $5 billion in project pipeline investments.
