Charity Golf Tournament to Support Clergy Mental Health

The charity golf tournament, organized by Mr. Fatumata Coker, is set to take place at the Ikeja Golf Club on March 11, 2026. The event, themed "Swing Serv Love," aims to raise funds for mental health support for priests and religious personnel through the St. Kizito Well Project.

Mr. Coker expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its potential impact and the spirit of Lenten charity. Rev. Fr. Michael Olofinlad emphasized the importance of the initiative, which seeks to strengthen mental health support systems for clergy.

The tournament will follow a Texas scramble format with a shotgun start at 7:30 AM, and over 100 golfers have already registered. Participants will have the opportunity to win various prizes, and Rev. Fr. Olofinlad will autograph copies of his book for attendees.

Dr. Leonard Chukwuka Okonkwo, a charter psychologist, will deliver a talk on mental health challenges faced by priests and religious personnel. The event is supported by Pepsi Cola and aims to highlight the importance of mental health among clergy.
