Team Zion Wins Charity Golf Tournament for St Kizito

Team Zion, comprising golfers Lynda Obiez, Bidemi Ojo, Fred Appah, and Jimoh Ogundar, won the Catholic Golfers’ Charity Kitty with a gross score of 61 and a net score of 57. The tournament took place at Ikeja Golf Club on Wednesday morning, organized to support the St Kizito Well Project founded by Rev Father Michael Olofinlad.

The second place was secured by Team Lasgidi Bandito with a gross score of 66 and a net score of 57, while Team Ikeja Club finished third with a gross score of 61 and a net score of 58. Candi Agu, chairman of the competition committee, disclosed that the event aimed to raise awareness and funds for mental health support, successfully collecting nearly N5 million.

Rev Father Olofinlad highlighted the importance of the project, particularly in light of his own traumatic kidnapping experience in Ekiti State in 2023, which underscored the need for mental health assistance.
