CBN Urges Nigerians To Keep Naira Clean, Assures Of Currency Availability

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has urged Nigerians to keep the Naira clean as it is a critical symbol of national unity. The Acting Director of the CBN's Corporate Communications Department, Mrs.

Hakama Sidi Ali, emphasized the importance of handling the nation's currency with care and respect. She assured the public of the availability of clean currency while warning against spraying, mutilating, or counterfeiting the Naira.

The CBN is committed to ensuring the availability of clean currency and driving alternative payment channels for financial inclusion and economic growth. The CBN Fair held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, aimed to educate the public on bank policies, innovations, and interventions to enhance livelihoods and contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy.

The event highlighted the CBN's core objectives of sensitizing the public on financial inclusion, alternative payment channels, and policy innovations. The CBN remains dedicated to strengthening the financial system, promoting financial inclusiveness, and ensuring a sound.
