CCB Uncovers Discrepancies in 500 Asset Declarations, Takes Enforcement Actions

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) uncovered discrepancies in 500 asset declarations of public officers, prompting enforcement actions. Abdullahi Bello, the bureau's chairman, disclosed the findings in Abuja, emphasizing the importance of transparency and restoring public trust.

The CCB has verified asset declarations of nine ministries, 43 permanent secretaries, and 40 federal directors. Bello highlighted the introduction of an online asset declaration system to streamline the process and save costs.
