CDCFIB Warns Against False Recruitment Information

The Civil Defence Corps Fire Board (CDCFIB) has issued a final warning regarding the dissemination of false information related to its ongoing recruitment exercise. In a statement made by Okeh Juliet on behalf of the board's secretary, the CDCFIB expressed concern over a wave of misinformation circulating on social media platforms that could mislead the public and undermine genuine applicants.

The board emphasized that spreading false claims constitutes a criminal offense under existing laws and warned that it would take necessary steps to identify and prosecute individuals or groups responsible for creating and disseminating such misleading information. The CDCFIB urged the public to rely solely on its official recruitment portal at recruit.cdcfib.gov.ng for accurate updates and to report any suspicious content.

The board reiterated its commitment to collaborating with relevant security and law enforcement agencies to monitor and address cases of misinformation, stressing that violators will face prosecution according to the law.
