CDS Musa Didn’t Ask Nigerians To Bear Arms Illegally – DHQ Clarifies

The Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, clarified that Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Lucky Irabor did not encourage Nigerians to bear arms illegally. In a statement, Gusau explained that the CDS never suggested engaging in unlawful possession of firearms.

Instead, General Irabor emphasized the importance of developing basic survival skills for personal resilience and situational awareness. The statement highlighted that the CDS is committed to the security and protection of the country and its citizens.

It was emphasized that General Irabor fully understands the law and does not promote illegal arm bearing. The Defence Headquarters reassured the public of the Armed Forces' readiness and commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of the country.
