Olufemi Salako Celebrates Milestone Birthday and Impact

Otunba Olufemi Salako turned a year older on October 8. He is the Publisher of Triangle News International, a platform he developed from its origins in Ilaro, Ogun State, into a respected name in investigative journalism with international headquarters in London.

For the past five years, Salako has organized the Face of Africa Leadership Awards in the United Kingdom, an annual event that honors Africans whose leadership impacts communities and institutions across the continent and its diaspora. The 2025 edition will celebrate Triangle’s 10th anniversary at the Great Hall of King’s College London, with the next edition scheduled for Oxford in April 2027.

Salako's career is notable for its transition from reporting to convening influential figures, including traditional rulers like the Ooni of Ife. His influence is reflected in the younger journalists who view his career as evidence that a small Nigerian publication can achieve international recognition.
