Cellulant Appoints Anthoni Hernandez as COO for Growth

Cellulant has announced the appointment of Anthoni Hernandez as Chief Operating Officer, a strategic move aimed at strengthening its operational systems to support expansion across various African markets. Hernandez will oversee end-to-end customer operations, including onboarding, transaction processing, and enhancing customer experience.

His role is part of a broader initiative to improve the reliability, transparency, and scalability of Cellulant's payment infrastructure, which is crucial as transaction volumes increase across its platform. Peter O'Toole, the Chief Executive Officer of Cellulant, stated that this appointment is intended to bolster operational foundations and ensure consistent service delivery as the company expands.

Hernandez brings 25 years of experience in the financial services and fintech sectors, having previously held senior roles at GE Capital, Xapo Bank, and Demica. He is expected to lead the development of an automated, data-driven operational framework to provide customers with real-time visibility into payment settlements and transaction statuses, while also focusing on compliance and risk management across regulated markets.
