CSJET Defends Aminu Junaidu's IST Appointment Process

The Centre for Social Justice, Equity and Transparency (CSJET) defended the appointment of Barrister Aminu Junaidu as Chairman of the Investment Security Tribunal (IST), asserting that due process was adhered to and dismissing allegations of violations of the Investment Security Act 2025. At a press conference held on Friday in Abuja, CSJET's Executive Director, Pastor David D.

Yakubu, stated that the appointment was approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu within constitutional authority. Yakubu emphasized that there was no evidence of a breach of the legal administrative framework and urged caution against misinterpretations of the government's actions.

He highlighted Junaidu's qualifications, noting his extensive experience in legal practice and public administration, including his role as the former Attorney General of Zamfara State. The CSJET also mentioned that Junaidu's leadership is expected to enhance the efficiency of the IST and restore investor confidence in Nigeria's capital market.
