Charles Okocha Wins Rematch After Portable Disqualified

On Friday night, Charles Okocha defeated Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, in a celebrity boxing rematch held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The bout, titled “Unfinished Business,” was a follow-up to their controversial first encounter, where Okocha claimed the judges' decision favoring Portable was unjust.

The match began with Portable appearing strong, but as the fight progressed, both fighters engaged in aggressive grappling, prompting repeated interventions from the referee. Amid escalating tensions, Portable unexpectedly walked out of the ring before the end of the first round, leading to his disqualification.

This decision was met with boos from the crowd, including VIP attendees. Despite attempts by his team to persuade him to return, the match officials ruled that Portable's exit constituted abandoning the contest, awarding victory to Okocha.

Prior to the fight, Portable expressed emotional struggles, stating he hoped for happiness for himself and his family.
