Osimhen and Lookman to Miss Nigeria Friendlies in June

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chel confirmed that Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will not participate in Nigeria's international friendlies against Poland and Portugal. The matches are scheduled for June 3 in Warsaw and June 10 in Leiria.

Osimhen's absence is attributed to personal concerns regarding his career, particularly as he is currently involved in discussions about a potential transfer to a top Spanish club from Galatasaray. Chel emphasized the importance of Osimhen to the team and expressed understanding regarding his situation.

Similarly, Lookman, who recently transferred from Atalanta to Atletico Madrid, will also miss the games due to unspecified personal reasons. Chel mentioned that new players, including Femi Azeez, Alhassan Yusuf, Tijani Samson, and Ebenez Akinsanmiro, will be absent for various reasons, including visa issues and fitness concerns.
