Chelsea Complete €43M Transfer of Ajax Youngster Jorrel Hato

Chelsea has completed the €43 million transfer of Ajax youngster Jorrel Hato, making him one of the most expensive signings in Ajax's history. The 16-year-old defender made his debut for Ajax in February 2023 and has since played 111 senior matches, scoring four goals and providing 10 assists.

Hato is known for his calm leadership qualities and is set to compete for a spot in Chelsea's defense alongside players like Marc Cucurella and Levi Colwill. Chelsea, who won the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup last season, will be participating in the Champions League this season.

Hato could potentially make his debut for Chelsea on August 8th in a friendly against Bayer Leverkusen before their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on August 17th.
