Chelsea and West Ham Fined £325,000 for Mass Brawl

Chelsea FC and West Ham United have been fined a combined total of £325,000 by the Football Association due to a mass brawl that occurred during a Premier League match on January 31. The match saw Chelsea trailing by two goals in a London derby when nearly 20 players became involved in a melee.

The confrontation was sparked when West Ham winger Adama Traoré threw Chelsea's Marc Cucurella to the ground. João Pedro, a player who arrived to break up the fight, was also involved.

West Ham's Jean-Clair Todibo received a straight red card after a VAR review for allegedly clutching Pedro's throat. The FA stated that Chelsea FC failed to ensure its players behaved properly, while West Ham United FC also admitted to failing to control their players during the violent incident.
