Chido Onumah, born on April 10, 1966, has made substantial contributions to journalism and human rights advocacy in Nigeria and across West Africa. He completed his primary education at Armi Children School and attended Awori Ajeromi Grammar School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Calabar in 1991 and later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Journalism at the University of Ontario, Canada, graduating in 2002. Onumah has worked as a correspondent for various media outlets, including Africanew Service in Nairobi, and has been involved in human rights investigations and campaigns against political imprisonment. He has also contributed to the establishment of anti-corruption initiatives within the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria. His career reflects a commitment to truth-telling and ethical journalism, making him a significant figure in the fight for justice and accountability in Nigeria.
