inDrive Launches Chief Wahala Officer Role in Lagos

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has announced the opening of applications for the position of Chief Wahala Officer (CWO) in Lagos. This initiative aims to spotlight the everyday transport and delivery challenges faced by Lagos residents, particularly in navigating the city's notorious traffic.

The CWO role involves identifying various forms of stress related to transport and delivery in Lagos. Applicants must have at least five years of experience navigating Lagos and demonstrate familiarity with local movement patterns.

Preference will be given to individuals with strong communication skills and public speaking abilities. The two best-qualified candidates will receive cash prizes of ₦1 million and ₦500,000, respectively.

Oladimeji Timothy, the Nigeria manager for inDrive, stated that the initiative seeks to strengthen the connection between the company and the community while encouraging authentic storytelling and user participation. The campaign invites Lagosians to share their experiences on platforms like TikTok and Instagram using the hashtag #indrivecwo.
