Xi Jinping to Visit Egypt for Strategic Partnership Talks

Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit Egypt to engage in discussions with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi aimed at expanding their comprehensive strategic partnership. The talks will cover key sectors such as trade, investment, infrastructure, and security, while also addressing regional and international issues.

This visit coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and China, a partnership that has evolved significantly since the elevation of bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2014. Economic relations have strengthened, highlighted by Egyptian companies signing 17 export agreements worth approximately 168 million dollars with Chinese buyers last month, covering various sectors including agricultural products and textiles.

Additionally, bilateral trade is projected to reach around 19.52 billion dollars by 2025. The visit is expected to result in new agreements that will enhance economic cooperation and support Africa's industrialization and trade ambitions.
