Katsina United Denies Chinedu Ozor Revival Claims

Katsina United has officially dismissed claims that their player, Chinedu Ozor, has returned to life after being declared dead and taken to a mortuary. Ozor collapsed during a pre-season friendly match against Niger Tornadoes FC at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on Tuesday, where he experienced a medical emergency and was subsequently declared dead.

Following this announcement, grassroots sports journalist Prince CJ reported that Ozor showed signs of movement while in the mortuary, leading to his transfer back to the hospital for medical attention. However, Katsina United's media team clarified that these revival claims are false, stating, “Chinedu Ozor passed away following the incident.” They urged the public and media to refrain from spreading misinformation and to allow his family and the football community to mourn his loss respectfully.

The club emphasized that the family's request for further medical verification should not be misconstrued as evidence of Ozor being alive.
