Cholera Outbreak Claims 13 Lives in Adamawa State, Nigeria

A cholera outbreak in Adamawa State, Nigeria, has resulted in 13 fatalities, with 236 individuals infected. State Commissioner of Health and Human Services, Felix Tangwami, disclosed the situation after a state executive council meeting.

The outbreak, affecting Mubi North and Mubi South local government areas, is linked to contaminated drinking water sources. Currently, 21 individuals are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center and General Hospital Mubi.

The State Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA) has deployed a case management team to address the situation and urges residents to report new cases promptly.
