Chrisland School Awards Scholarships to 14 Pupils

Chrisland School recently awarded full scholarships to 14 outstanding pupils from its primary school, covering their tuition for the first three years of secondary education. This initiative, highlighted by the Managing Director Mr.

Ibironk Adeyemi, aims to positively impact students and encourage them to maintain impressive academic records as they transition to secondary school. The scholarship program, which has been in operation for 30 years, emphasizes a rigorous selection process, with an average of 15 to 17 learners receiving scholarships annually.

Candidates typically sit for a scholarship examination after the secondary school entrance exam, with 20 pupils shortlisted for the final awards. The total value of the scholarships extends into millions of naira, contingent upon the beneficiaries demonstrating continued academic prowess.

Mr. Ayoola Akinyey, the school director, congratulated the awardees, while Mr.

Chidera Okonkwo, a parent of four recipients, attributed their success to hard work and discipline, urging other parents to ensure their children complete primary education without shortcuts.
