Christ Apostolic Church Schools Pastor Biodun Fatonyinbo Over What He Said About Ayo Babalola

The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) has reprimanded Pastor Biodun Fatonyinbo of the Commonwealth Zion Assembly (COZA) for allegedly stating that revered revivalist Apostle Ayodele Joseph Babalola was poor despite his anointing. In response, CAC clarified that possession of material things is not evidence of anointing and emphasized that Babalola was not poor but a child of God.

The church also noted that Fatonyinbo was promoting a misleading narrative. Earlier, a Nigerian lady shared her experience of worshiping at COZA for two years, stating that she stopped attending church after realizing she had not grown spiritually during that time.

The CAC's statement serves as a reminder of the importance of spiritual growth over material possessions in the church.
