Churches Urged to Focus on Community Impact at RCCG Summit

At the RCCG Youth Province 1 CSR Summit 2026 held in Lekki, Lagos, Pastor Oluwagbemilek Adeboye called on churches to prioritize community impact as a key driver for church growth. He emphasized that demonstrating love for Christ through social responsibility should remain central to Christian practice, referencing Matthew 25:35-36.

The summit aimed to explore how churches can engage with communities and address real-life challenges. Pastor Martin Olusakin described the summit as the beginning of a movement to reposition the church as a transformative agent.

He disclosed that RCCG Youth Province 1 has spent 37 million Naira to feed 3,500 people weekly over the past 11 months and invested 18 million Naira in educational scholarships. Additionally, the church has embarked on a major project worth 1 billion Naira, which includes a 750-seat theater and a Redeemed University intensive care unit in Osun State.

Pastor Detola Akinremi noted that CSR initiatives have led to increased church attendance, highlighting the importance of social responsibility in church growth.
