RCCG Pastor Defends Adeboye's Comments on Tinubu

Pastor Johnson Odesola, a representative of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), defended comments made by Pastor Enoch Adeboye concerning President Bola Tinubu's handling of national security. He clarified that Adeboye's remarks, delivered at the Nigeria Faith Hero Award Gala in Washington D.C., acknowledged the worsening insecurity in the country due to terrorism and banditry, which have spread beyond the northern regions. Odesola emphasized that Adeboye's comments were not intended to excuse government failures but to remind political leaders of their constitutional roles in ensuring national security.

He urged critics to avoid distorting Adeboye's message and highlighted the need for collective responsibility among government agencies, judiciary, traditional rulers, and religious leaders to address the security crisis in Nigeria.
