Circuits Africa Launches in Uganda with $15m Investment in Local Filmmakers

Circuits Africa, a digital entertainment platform, has officially launched in Uganda with a $15 million investment and an 80-title library. The platform aims to boost the country's creative sector by offering Ugandan audiences access to Nollywood and investing in local filmmakers.

Mohamed Sedik, Head of Content Acquisition at Circuits, highlighted Uganda's vibrant storytelling culture and potential in the African film industry. The investment will focus on collaborating with Ugandan producers to develop new film series and ensure that Ugandan content is on par with Nollywood and other African cinema.
