Circular Road: Makinde Disburses N600m Compensation To Property Owners

Oyo State Governor, Makinde, has disbursed N600 million in compensation to property owners affected by the Circular Road project in Ibadan. This is the fourth batch of payments, with a total of N1 billion promised to be paid out soon.

The Commissioner of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Williams, stated that the project began in 2006 and expanded in 2018, with encroachment issues since then. Governor Makinde has ensured that legal and illegal structures along the corridor are compensated, warning beneficiaries to be wary of fraudsters.

The Information Commissioner, Prince Dotun Oyelade, highlighted the project's significance, dating back to 2005, and praised the governor for fulfilling his promises and showing compassion in governance. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the compensation and Governor Makinde's commitment to the project.
