Citadel School Graduates 69 Students in Leadership Program

On [date not specified], the Citadel School of Governance in Lagos celebrated the graduation of 69 students from its first Public Leadership and Statecraft Programme. The founder, Pastor Tunde Bakare, encouraged the graduates to embrace ethical leadership and view public office as a service rather than a means for personal gain.

He emphasized the need for a new generation of leaders committed to the common good. The nine-month program, conducted in partnership with the University of Lagos Business School, included participants from various professional backgrounds such as the judiciary, academia, and public service.

During the ceremony at the Citadel Multipurpose Hall, Bakare highlighted the rigorous training the graduates underwent and expressed optimism for future cohorts. Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University, urged graduates to prepare for the realities of public service and to apply their knowledge to strengthen Nigeria's institutions.

Prof. Sunday Adebisi, Executive Director of the University of Lagos Business School, described the collaboration as a strategic response to Nigeria's leadership challenges.
