Kenneth Okonkwo Slams City Boy Movement as Insult to Igbo

In a recent interview with Symphony TV, veteran actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo condemned the "City Boy Movement," asserting that it is an insult to the Igbo people. He accused members of the movement of selling their conscience for personal gain and argued that their support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid does not represent the collective dignity of the Igbo community.

Okonkwo emphasized that the actions of certain politicians in the region, who endorse the president, do not reflect the true interests of the Igbo people. He further described the movement as a desperate attempt to seek political favor, suggesting that it is better to maintain dignity than to seek relevance through what he termed "rotten crumbs." Okonkwo has become a prominent voice in opposition in recent years, advocating for the sustenance of talent and skill over political patronage.
