Citi Boi Movement Celebrates Menstrual Hygiene Day at UNIZIK

The Citi Boi Movement's Anambra State chapter commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, distributing hundreds of sanitary pads to female students. The event took place in the main auditorium on a Friday, part of activities to mark World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026.

Adaora Soludo, the Anambra State Women Leader of the Citi Boi Movement, spoke about empowering young women and promoting menstrual health awareness. She highlighted the challenges faced by female students during their menstrual periods, including stigma and lack of access to sanitary materials.

Soludo expressed her delight in marking the day and discussed the importance of health, dignity, and confidence for young women. She urged eligible students to participate in the democratic process and voter registration, emphasizing the significant role of young people in shaping society.

The event was well-received, with gratitude expressed towards the university management for their support.
