Military Operations Disrupt Terrorism, Rescue Victims

The Civic Alliance for National Security and Cohesion (CASNC), led by Dr. Ibrahim Danjuma, issued a statement commending the Nigerian military for its coordinated operations across the country that resulted in significant achievements against terrorism.

The military successfully rescued 13 passengers abducted along the Makurdi-Otukpo route in Benue State and arrested suspects linked to violent activities in Plateau State, where arms and ammunition were recovered. The operations demonstrated a proactive approach to intelligence-driven actions, with troops responding to distress calls and stabilizing situations to ensure civilian safety.

In the North East, troops repelled an insurgent attack and neutralized fighters attempting to infiltrate communities. Additionally, the military discovered and safely detonated improvised explosive devices in Borno State.

The CASNC emphasized the importance of civilian cooperation in enhancing security operations and acknowledged the leadership of General Olufemi Oluyed in improving coordination among armed forces.
