Nigerian Armed Forces Achieve Success in Recent Operations

The Citizen Alliance for Security and Nation Cohesion (CASNC) has praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their recent coordinated operations across the country, which have resulted in multiple rescues and arrests. Notably, 13 passengers were rescued from abduction along the Makurdi-Otukpo route in Benue State.

The group, led by Ibrahim Danjuma, noted that operations in Plateau State led to the arrest of suspects linked to recent violence, along with the recovery of arms, including submachine guns and locally made weapons. In the North East, troops successfully repelled an attack and neutralized insurgents attempting to infiltrate communities.

The CASNC emphasized the importance of intelligence-led operations and acknowledged the need for continued support for military welfare and equipment. Olufemi Oluyed, Chief of Defence Staff, was recognized for improving coordination among security agencies, which has contributed to recent successes.

The group urged ongoing collaboration between citizens and security agencies to maintain peace and security.
