Nigerian Army Achieves Major Success Against Terrorism

In a series of coordinated operations over 24 hours, the Nigerian Army has successfully neutralized terrorist cells, rescued hostages, and recovered arms across various states. In Kogi State, troops from the 12 Brigade, in conjunction with the Nigerian Police, arrested two suspects and recovered two motorcycles and two chainsaw machines.

In Kaduna State, troops apprehended a suspect who confessed to abandoning a terrorist camp. Sokoto State saw the destruction of a terrorist camp and the recovery of camouflage trousers.

In Niger State, five suspects were apprehended, and a terrorist camp was destroyed. Kwara State troops responded to a distress call, rescuing three kidnap victims and apprehending five suspects, recovering an AK-47 rifle and ammunition.

Additional operations in Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, River, Plateau, and Abia States led to further arrests and the recovery of illegal drugs and stolen crude oil. The Nigerian Army reassured the public of its commitment to defeating criminal elements and ensuring peace nationwide.
